Happy New Year!

I wish you all a happy New Year! To start the year right, I have some movie recommendations. The King's Speech is excellent. I hope the movie and the actors win Academy Awards. They deserve it. I also enjoyed True Grit. (If you go see it, there are two parts where you should cover your eyes. Jim's not as quick at that as I am...) I had mixed feelings about going to see a remake, but my new philosophy is to give it a chance if it seems to have potential - treat it as if it were a play.

I also have a rental to recommend. It's called Easy A. It's hilarious. I love the actors and the dialogue is very clever and funny. I almost didn't rent this one because I was afraid it would be too silly.

Yikes! We go back to school on Monday. We had a great vacation. I guess I'm ready to go back. I love my job.

I was just telling Matt tonight that I wanted to watch Easy A. We are going to have to rent it now for sure!

Our girls rented Easy A on Pay Per View, so we watched it tonight. It was pretty funny. We watched Eat, Pray, Love and Salt the other night. They were both good. Oh, and we watched Inception, too. It was different. Some of us loved it, and some thought it was just ok.

It's been in the 20s here, too. It's much too cold!
Happy New Year!

Where are photos of Briscoe and Rosie in their winter coats???

I watched "Blind Side", "Toy Story 3" and "How to Train Your Dragon" over the holiday break and I recommend all three.

Loved the toilet seat idea, Randi!

Charlotte's card is beautiful.

Candy, hope your holidays were filled with the love of family and friends. I see your gift from the grandkids and it is wonderful! So good to know you got to see your mom too. Hope being back to school isn't too stressful. I'm waiting to see more of your wonderful art too!

Randi, let me know what you guys think of the movie.

Deb, I haven't seen any of the movies you guys watched. Now I have some new ones to add to my list. My sister told me it was supposed to be 30 below in northern Wisconsin yesterday (not factoring in the wind chill). I'll hav eto call her today to see if it got that cold. Yikes!

Gammies, I keep forgetting to have the photographer take a picture - maybe today.

Jimmm, I wonder how that happened...

Sheryl, I'm glad you thought it was funny, too. I was so pleased that the parents were portrayed as intelligent and funny, rather than as fools. I love Stanley Tucci.

Sherry, I'm so glad you're back!

Hi Candy,
I just saw your comment on my blog :)
Sorry it took me so long to respond, I have not been on there in so long.
I hope you had a Merry Christmas and the New Year is treating you right!
I watched a good (older) movie this past weekend. The Shawshank Redemption. I would recommend it, it was good.
It was good to hear from you:)
