It Might as Well Be Spring

Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto - what a combination. I think theirs is the best version of "It Might as Well Be Spring". We had some rain yesterday and a little more today. It was lovely. I love the way the air smells.

Here are a couple of sketches I did today in my moleskine sketchbook. Jim gave me roses for Valentine's Day. This is one of them. The strawberry is from the grocery store:)

Pretty! I especially like the rose, with its splash of lavenders and pinks.

Hi, Deb! Thank you! I hope you have a great week, too!

Jane, thank you! Yes, I'm outside whenever weather and light permit. I love the lack of pressure in using the sketchbook:)

Sherry, if you were closer, we could get together for some strawberry shortcake.

Pat, thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing your new project completed.

Nice, Candy! I like them both- but especially the rose because I know how difficult those petals are to paint!
