Anthony Zerbe - It's All Done With Mirrors

Jim and I saw Anthony Zerbe at the Old Fifth Street School last Friday night.  He's on tour in a one man show of the poetry of E. E. Cummings.  If he is appearing in your area, go see him.  He's fabulous, amazing, talented, smart, funny, a great actor, can do accents, has a wonderful voice and he seems to be a darned nice guy.  After the show, he stayed and answered questions from the audience.  We had such a wonderful time.  Years ago, we saw Anthony Zerbe and Roscoe Lee Browne here at one of our arts centers.  That was amazing, too!  I hope he returns to Las Vegas soon.

The Old Fifth Street School was restored and it's a lovely place.  Jim took a few photos before we went inside.  Even though it was dark, I talked him into taking a picture of the sign because I think it's so pretty.  This is a magical place.  It was a magical night.

Hi, Sherry! I think you would have enjoyed it. From the posts I read on your blog, I think you're ready for a magical night!

Mary, thank you! I've enjoyed reading your posts about your trip. I can't take credit for the desert photos. My husband took those. He's quite talented with the camera. I'm hit and miss:)

Bonjour, Martine!
Merci pour s'arrêter par. Oui, c'était une merveilleuse soirée.
Gros bisous à vous.

That sounds like a really great evening. I should do more of those things too. Get out and appreciate what my area has to offer... Thank you for the inspiration! That picture of your father and new grandson is precious! I love seeing moments like that captured on film or canvas. They make everything fall into perspective, don't they?

I find it interesting how Candy bandies about the term "talked me into it"......We all know how THAT,/b> is....

Hi, Katherine! Yes, it was very interesting. We always want to go do things like this, but seem to put it off. The best thing is to buy a ticket as soon as you find out about the event. Then you're more likely to get out and do it.

I'm glad you liked the picture of Dad and Carter. The kid is always smiling!

The photos are. Wonderful, and it is nice to see a historical school valued, not torn down. Sounds like a lovely evening.

Mary, yes, I'm so glad that we are preserving more buildings now than we used to. Jim and I went to Las Vegas High School and it's on the National Register of Historic Places. They built a new Las Vegas High School and our old school is now a school of the arts. How I love that old campus. It's not far from the grammar school in the pictures.
