What's This? Activity in the Studio!

I've been matting some old paintings now that I have reacquainted myself with my mat cutter.  I've also started a new painting of Red Rock Canyon, which is one of my favorite places in the world.  I also couldn't resist posting another picture of Cary Grant.  I've been having a blast.  It Might As Well Be Spring - the title of one of my favorite songs.  I hope you're having as much fun as I am.

My little studio is collecting dust - I can relate. Thanks for the inspiration!

Candy, so nice to be back blogging. I can see you are having fun, and I am getting a kick out of getting caught up with my online friends! I love your paintings. So nice to see you working on your art and framing them. I am continuing with some florals inspired by the beautiful flowers in my corner of the world.

Candy, just love those paintings and of course the kitty.!
I have been to Red Rock Canyon, and have pictures and small paintings from those pictures.
I loved the whole look of that area. Wish I could see it again.

Hi, Mary! Thank you! I'm so happy you're blogging again. I missed your posts, but your reason for not blogging upon occasion(being a world traveler) is an excellent one!

Hi, Barbra Joan! Thank you and I will pass the comment along to Cary Grant! I love that you enjoyed Red Rock. I feel bad when people visit and they only see the Strip. The hotels are fabulous, but we have much more to offer. Jim and I got married in Red Rock Canyon. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. We were all dressed up and then everyone had on their hiking shoes:) Whenever you make it back here, let me know and I'll meet you for lunch.

Yay! Your positivity is infectious!
Wonderful paintings. Those flowers are so beautiful!
I'm impressed with your foray into matte cutting. My mom has
one and I'm totally intimidated! are you doing a beveled edge.
I think this all entails some math, no? yikes! (anything to do with numbers!
Even addition! haha!)

Happy Spring! Keep shining!

Hi, Lucinda! Thank you! Yes, I do the beveled edge. You have to think about it a little and, of course, I've made a couple of mistakes:) It's fun to finish the paintings off myself.

Happy spring to you, too! Our weather right now is fabulous!
