Day 3 of the Workshop

I learned a lot in this workshop.  First of all, I learned that there is a strong possibility that I'm not the Queen of Scrubbing Out.  Yikes!  It's an art in itself!  I'm getting there, though:)  I'm going to post my painting.  It's not quite done yet - more scrubbing out to do and more painting to do, too.  From what I could tell, everyone in the studio came up with a gorgeous painting.  One lady asked if he gives workshops without so much masking.  He said that most of his workshops are just straight painting.  I would like to try one of his  "not so much masking" workshops in the future.  He is a good teacher and a good guy, too!  I just got an e-mail saying that he's thinking about developing an e-course.  I think that's a great idea.

Finished or not, you have a beautiful painting here, Candy! So good to hear that you learned a lot. Sounds like you may sign up with David Smith for another online class:)

Thank you, Chris! Yes, I probably will try another class with him. It would be cool if the Nevada Watercolor Society invited him here to give a workshop. I think he's headed to Florida to do a couple of workshops and get out of the snow at the end of January and the first part of February:)

Candy this is absolutely beautiful. I am not a great fan of masking but it looks like it worked beautifully for you. Have a super week. Hugs!

Thank you, Debbie. I'm not a fan of masking either. In the past, I've used it for things like cat whiskers:) I'm glad I learned more about it and I would take another workshop with him because he is a really good instructor, but I would like to try one without all the masking:)

Bonjour chère Martine! Ce fut une merveilleuse expérience d'apprentissage. Oui, c'était très bien pour moi d'essayer quelque chose de différent de ce que je fais d'habitude.

Gros bisous
