Salt Paintings!

While we waited for layers to dry on our big painting, we painted small salt paintings.  I scanned mine and used Microsoft Publisher to make Christmas cards.

Sheryl! How are you? I've missed your posts. I hope everything is going well for you. You should try this. You'll love the effects you get with the salt. Merry Christmas!

Wow! What a beautiful painting, Candy! Love the glow & the salt effects - perfect for a Christmas card:)

Thank you, Chris! They were fun to paint. From what I could tell, everyone in the studio was successful with the little salt paintings. I think it was a great idea for something to do while the layers dried on the other painting. David said that, otherwise, we would all just be sitting there watching paint dry:)

Merry Christmas, Barbra Joan! You're right, they're fun! I always have a good time in classes whether it's a workshop or a class at UNLV or CSN. Jim has even taken some with me:)

Thanks, Laura! By the way, I checked out the link you posted for the palettes. They are so cool - a great way to avoid wasting paint and to have all the colors you need right there.
