The Cactus Garden and Flowers

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  The weather here is perfect right now.  I went out to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory cactus garden the other day.  I got there around 8:30 a.m.  I had almost the entire place to myself.  It was fabulous.

I painted these flowers to use on cards.  They're watercolor on 7-1/2" x 11" Arches 140 lb cold press paper

Barbra Joan, just as I settled down to make this post, I heard this from downstairs, "No, Georgie.  I said no.  Go find Mommy."😊😊😊

Hi Candy, love your watercolors. Nothing like visiting a new place to give us incentive..

Thank you, Barbra Joan. Yes, Georgie is a total crack-up. He made muddy paw prints on the outside of our glass doors to the backyard. This morning I was outside trying to clean them and he was inside chasing the paper towel with his nose. So when I got done with the outside, it was time to clean the "pupkiss" off the inside. :):)

Ah, a cactus garden! Something I would only have been able to image. It must have been great to have been there so early in the morning - tranquility :} I wonder if you painted those gorgeous cards after the visit...

And I don't know how many times I've heard Tim tell Cobie, "Go find Mommy." It finally came time to turn the tables. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. But seriously, I'm glad Georgie is bringing you two so much joy. Wishing you many more years of the same, Candy! And I think Georgie is one lucky guy to have you, too!

Thanks, Chris! Georgie makes us laugh. He knows it, too. When we laugh, he gets even sillier.

Yes, the garden was the perfect place to be early in the morning. I also like to go out in the desert, especially at this time of the year. I haven't been out there in quite some time. I've got to get going. The weather is fabulous right now.

Gros bisous
