Gratitude Friday

I'm thankful for the blogger friends I have made. I love reading their blogs and reading the comments they make on my blog. This is so much fun.

I'm grateful that today is Friday. I'm ready for the weekend. I'm going to finish the painting that I'm working on.

Sherry, my dad is doing fine. He's going to love your comment.

I remember you said you studied French in high school. Jim studied French, too. His French teacher also taught an English class that Jim and I both took. This teacher was wonderful. She was very elegant. She wrote a book called Continental Fling. We never read it when we were in high school, but Jim did some research and found two copies at the UNLV library. We're going to check it out this weekend. If it's good, I'll let you know. It will probably make your desire to go to Paris even stronger.

I look forward to hearing about the book, Candy. Yes, I had 4 years in high school, two separate semesters while in college (two different schools, many years apart). To this day I want to re-learn things, better understand the grammar and conjugations and increase my vocabulary. I could probably pick out a few words and understand a conversation (mostly) if they spoke s-l-o-w-l-y (doucement, s'il vous plait!)...
