I love Jason Mraz.  Jim and I saw him in concert a couple of years ago.  We both thought it was the best concert we had ever been to.  He has a great voice.  He's fun and funny - an absolute delight.

New Adventures!

Yesterday was the last day of summer school and my last day teaching English.  I was happy and sad at the same time.  I'll miss my students more than I can say.  They are all wonderful people - so eager to learn, so kind and so much fun.  Students brought  beautiful bouquets, lotions and candles - all kinds of cool gifts!  We all brought food and we had a party.  It was so much fun!  I hope they stay in touch with me. One of the wonders of technology is that it'll be so easy for us.  I want to hear about their new adventures!  As for me, I'm going to focus on art and being a stay-at-home mom to our furry babies.  Can you imagine how much fun this is going to be?

I like to have the TV on while I'm cooking.  I had an art show on while I was making chili today.  I seldom saw what the guy was painting.  Every time I looked up from my dicing, measuring or mixing, they were showing his palette.  It still made me happy.  I like looking at all the colors whether it's my palette or another artist's.  What is it about the things we use to make art that is so fascinating?  Gardening is similar.  I like to dig in the dirt.  I don't always wear gloves even though I pay for it when I try to get that rich black stuff out from under my nails:)  I like the way dirt feels.  I like to look at my plants.  I like to talk to them, too:)
