My sister has a Boston terrier named Cora. Cora is a sweet, beautiful, crazy girl. Boston terriers often have problems with their eyes. Cora had to have both eyes removed. She handled the surgery very well and happily runs around the house because she remembers where everything is. You almost wouldn't know she was blind. I painted Cora from a photo of her sleeping.
This is on 1/4 sheet of Arches 140 lb cold press watercolor paper.
My sister sent me Dave Barry's new book Lessons From Lucy. It's not about art, but I'm posting about it because it is absolutely hilarious. I'm only on page 48, but I've been laughing hard out loud more times than I can keep track of. Jim laughs just because I'm laughing! If you love dogs and/or you like to laugh, you should read this.
Whenever you're in Las Vegas, check out the Metropolitan Gallery. They converted the old Neonopolis Theater downtown into a gallery. It is a wonderful place with true funk value:). I'm so excited to have one of my paintings on exhibit there in the Nevada Watercolor Society Spring Show!
