When Georgie wants a better look at something, he stands on his hind legs.  He's not balancing using the leashes.  He's just standing there.  Jim and I both think this is hilarious.

Keep Your Fingers Crossed!

I submitted one of my paintings to Art at Lake Las Vegas.  If it's accepted, it will be on display at Lake Las Vegas Sports Club.  I know this is probably silly, but I have my heart set on being accepted.  The reason is that the reception is on my birthday AND the reception will be followed by a performance of the Henderson Symphony Orchestra on the patio.  The concert attendees get to sit on blankets on the lawn and listen to the music as the sun sets.  Doesn't that sound like a fun birthday celebration?  Of course, I have a Plan B.  If my painting isn't accepted, Jim will take me someplace fancy for my birthday dinner AND there will be plenty of cake!  It's still over a month away, but I'm keeping everything crossed for luck:)

A Sunday Morning Walk with Jim and Georgie

We took Georgie to Mt. Charleston today.  We got started early, took a nice little hike and enjoyed the scenery.  The weather was perfect.  It was about 75 degrees F.
