David Smith + Online Workshop = Fun!

I took a 4 day online watercolor workshop from David Smith this week.  It was great.  I learned a lot and had fun while I was learning.  David is very generous, talented and funny.  The workshop was Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p. m.  (Pacific Time) with 45 minutes for lunch.  We painted a New York City scene, 2 florals and a misty woods scene with our choice of wildlife.

David's studio is in Eden Prairie, MN.  So cool - he has a mama wild turkey hanging around his house with her 12 babies and deer wander around his house, too.  Next week, I'll post some things I learned.  He has workshops coming up and he'll be doing a free demo in July.  When I have all of the information on the demo, I'll post it in case any of you would like to check him out.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Second Attempt

Here is my second attempt at trees in the mist.  I used David Smith's demo again.  I still need more practice, but I'm going to try something different this week.  I'm taking an online workshop from David in two weeks.  Exciting and fun!
