You say tomato...

I did the latest Karin Jurick/DSFDF challenge. I'm not going to submit it. I will post a photo here, though. The background is actually white, but in the photo, it has a blue tint. I'll have to play with the camera until I can get it right. This challenge is a great idea. It's fun to see what all the artists do with Karin's photos.

Candy, I am impressed by how well you paint with watercolors. I know that is a difficult medium. Keep it up! I've saved your blog to one of my favorites.

Mary, it was so nice to hear from you! Thank you for your kind comment. Stop by anytime.

At one time I found my photos had that bluish background instead of white, until I opened my images with MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER, then into EDIT PICTURE and click on AUTO CORRECT... all before working on the post. Hope it works for you.

Thank you for your recent comments.

I like your pet name from Anonymous - Dissy - although I thought Candy was nice anyway.

Thank you for the tip, Joan. I'll definitely try it.

Your comment on my pet name made me smile. Anonymous is my sister, Tamara. My real name is Candyce. She calls me Dissy and I call her Gammies.

Your blog is one of my favorites.

Hi Candy,
Your blog is versatile and has some really nice watercolors, too. I enjoyed seeing what you're doing. Happy painting.

Post your painting on DSFDF...it's nice.

Thank you for the words of encouragement, Bill. I needed a little push. After hearing from you, I went ahead and submitted my painting. Then I was disappointed because it wasn't posted. Yikes! Rejection! But, no, it wasn't rejected. For some reason it was kicked out of Karin's mailbox. I'll try another challenge (especially now that I know how tough I am when I think my painting has been rejected):)

You have a distinctive style with watercolour, Candy - it's lovely. I think you should submit these.

Thank you, Robyn. Your comment made my day. (Dermott's comment made Rosie's day!)
