Lake Superior

I painted this from a photo Jim took when we were at Wisconsin Point. In the distance beyond the lighthouse, you can see Minnesota. Im going to paint it again and move my horizon line so that it doesn't divide the scene in half.

Beautiful, Candy! You really have a gift with watercolors. You could always just crop the sky off a bit...If you don't feel like repainting! LOL Yes, I usually do find the easy way around things. Besides, I love paintings that aren't quite what people expect size-wise. Anyway, your colors are beautiful! I can't wait to see your next effort!

Thank you, Dominique! I hope everyone checks out your blog. I thought it was so clever to do the video so we could all see what fun your sketching group has. Two thumbs up for Lydia!

Autumn Leaves, you are so kind. I agree that I could crop the sky, but I need the practice, so I'll paint it again. I'll do a different painting and go back to this scene in a few days.
