I'm grateful that Jim loves me and I have proof. We ate at Marie Callender's today. Jim had a special that included a piece of pie. He let me choose the kind of pie and he let me have the pie. My choice: blueberry, of course. Giving away your dessert - now that's true love. (He may have just been full, but I prefer to see it differently...)
I played with the Nova Scotia scene a little more. This is the completed painting. I am ready to start a scene from Corsica.

Candy, thanks for joining my blog.
I like this painting of yours a lot -- the shades of red blue are particularly appealing and the mixture of colors in the shadows gives such a nice liveliness to this piece.
It's my pleasure!
Thank you for the nice comment, Mary.
I think this is so soft and romantic, Candy. (And I have nary a romantic bone in this old body!) And now I am wanting some pie too! LOL A bit of strawberry rhubarb, mayhaps??? Oh dear...I get so carried away with my own enthusiasm that I cut myself short on the read...Back to see what you chose for you and Jim! LOL
What a lovely painting!
I am with you.....thats true love when giving away dessert is involved!! Lucky girl!

It's so fascinating to watch the creative process. I love that you post successive photos of the same painting taking its final form.
