I painted two little watercolor sketches today. It was such a pleasure to be outside with the dogs on another sunny, glorious day. I will post the sketches as soon as my photographer wakes up from his nap. (I still haven't learned how to use Jim's camera:)) As I was out there soaking up all the good vibrations from our dogs and our yard, not worrying about the quality of my painting - just happy to be painting, I decided that my project will be to paint little sketches of parts of the backyard until I fill up my sketchbook or the weather sends me back indoors. Today I painted my cactus again and my geranium that survived the winter. (I didn't know that geraniums could survive cold weather, but this one is planted right next to the house, so maybe that helped protect it.)
Jim is awake. Here are the photos.

I love your watercolor sketches! Geraniums are one of my favorite flowers, too.
Oh how I wish we had a little sun here. It's been raining non-stop, it seems.
Have a great week!!!
Such a beautiful soft hand you have, Candy. Perfect for watercolors!
Sheryl, thank you!
Tracy, thank you. I am so happy to be growing geraniums. My grandma used to grow them and a lot of other flowers, too.
Deb, thank you. I hope you get some sun soon. We had another beautiful day today, but it's supposed to start cooling off tomorrow.
Thank you, Sherry!
It is always a pleasure to paint for one's own garden, I am sure you had an enjoyable session creating these Candy!
Padmaja, thank you for stopping by. I just visited your blog and I saw that you haven't posted lately. When will we be seeing some more of your lovely art?
