This is what I've been up to

We set the tile, grouted and sealed the grout.  The carpet layers did a great job installing the carpet.  We have to install the baseboard, stain the French doors, put furniture and art where we want it and ta-dah - we'll be finished with the living room. (Briscoe is looking in.  He and Rosie spent a lot of time outside or in our bedroom while we were working.)

Since I have no art of my own to share right now, please check out this show http://www.robertlangestudios.com/

I commented on Ali's blog that I think whoever came up with the idea of these two to exhibit together is brilliant.  I wish I could check it out in person.

Candy, methinks you are a dynamo! I may come to you for pointers! I was just telling Michael that I thought we could save some money and tile two rooms ourselves. It will cost enough to lay flooring in all the other rooms but I'm not of a mind to tackle hardwood. I mean when (and if) we get to buy this house, I mean. And have the money. But still...it is on the agenda. You must be getting excited about school ending soon, yes? How is dad?

It sounds like you are having fun! It feels so good when a project is finished! I can't wait to finish the dozen projects we have around here. We're a bit behind.

I love your roses!!! They are gorgeous!

Sherry, you and Michael will be able to do it yourselves when you buy that house. (Don't worry, you'll get to.)There is information online and we'll be happy to share what we've learned so far:) The main thing is to take your time. We haven't tried hardwood yet.

Jim and I are going to do two summer sessions, but we'll be off the month of August.

Dad is great:) We're going to see him in August.

Deb, we really are having fun. We enjoy doing projects together. Jim is so funny. He keeps me laughing so it doesn't even seem like work.

I think we had the perfect conditions for roses this spring. All the roses in Las Vegas were spectacular.

Sigh...two summer sessions? But still, hopefully a bit more laid back during the summer and the whole month of August off will be fabulous. Especially where you live. Too danged hot outside, especially in August!
