A Boxer Puppy

I finished this painting of a boxer puppy today.

He's on 11 x 15 140 lb Arches cold press paper.  When I first looked at him, he seemed sad, but Jim says he looks like he's ready to get into mischief.  I'm going with mischief:)

A show opened here yesterday.  We're going to check it out tomorrow.  It's called "Tilting the Basin: Contemporary Art of Nevada".  It has over 100 pieces by 34 Nevada artists.  It opened last year in Reno.  Now it's in a 40,000 square foot warehouse in downtown Las Vegas.  The space is said to have fantastic natural light and has been renovated to a certain extent.  Should be interesting.

Happy Friday!

Oh he is adorable! He does indeed look like he's been caught in the act of thinking about mischief!! Your art show sounds wonderful. You will have my kind of day there! Enjoy, Candy. I think the puppy is perfect!!!

Thank you, Sherry! I'll let you know what the show is like. They say we're getting an art museum near the Smith Center. I hope it's true. I think we're big enough to sustain one.

What a cutie! You have captured that certain "look" that's so appealing with any portrait - human or animal.
The art show sounds like lots of fun - great venue. I checked it out online - lots of excitement about it!
