We went to a show at Las Vegas City Hall today. It's called "From Refuse to Reuse". It's an exhibit of thrown-away objects that have been used in sculpture. There were several pieces that I liked. This is my favorite. It's called "Show Girl" by Brian Mock. It looks just like our Rosie.
Check out other work by Brian Mock here. https://www.brianmock.com/
His sculpture is gorgeous and all from reclaimed material! He even has a fabulous lion for Chris Lally.

Candy, I can see why you are in love with Show Girl! She is beautiful!!
I clicked on the link (THANK you!!), and was blown away by the first photo - the lion! Tim heard me say, "WOWWWW," and looked at the computer. I told him Brian lives only a couple of hours away - perhaps a studio visit? He said, "Forget it. We can't afford it." I will save my pennies. What a gorgeous sculpture!! (And Tim did admit he loved the figurative pieces).
Thanks again, Candy!
WOW! Looks great! I also had seen many things made from used bottles, bottle caps, juice can etc. They all look awesome!
Chris, I'm so glad you liked it. I checked on Show Girl. We can't afford her either:) A studio visit would be fun anyway!
Jene, I'm amazed at what people can use to make art!
Looks stunning! Thanks for the link!
Like this idea of Refuse to Reuse.
One of my friends made portraits and landscapes using refuse. Many admire the work, but very few takers.
Padmaja, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think this artist is awesome!
Haddock, tell your friend to hang in there and his work will sell. I think it's very interesting that your favorite country singer is Jim Reeves. It shows how connected all nations are.
Hi!!!
Thanks for your messages! Things have been crazy and then my computer when nuts but I’m back online!
Love the use of reclaimed materials- been thinking about that a lot lately. Hope this finds you well! Going to have to make my way through old posts!
