Is This Cool or What?
We went to see the Nevada Watercolor Society Fall Show at Sahara West Library today. This sculpture is on display at the library. We loved it! It's made of thin pieces of steel that are suspended with clear strands of what I think is some sort of plastic.
The watercolor show was good, too! I especially liked a painting by Tatsiana Harbacheuskaya. It was called Stephan. I had never seen her work before. I think her work is lovely.

Old and New
I was over at my Mom's house and I took a picture of a painting I did in 2002. My mom liked it, framed it and has it hanging in her living room.
I did this one a couple of weeks ago when I was experimenting with aquaboard. You can lift easily off of it, so that is neat. If you try to work very wet, the paint just sits there.
Well, I'm off to do lesson plans and listen to the Packer game. Happy Sunday!

Clark County Museum
Here are some photos from the Clark County Museum. We loved it. We didn't get to see everything, so we're going back. There are homes that have been relocated and restored, a print shop, a railroad depot and a lot of other neat things. There is music from the '30s, '40s and 50's playing in the homes. It's magical. It costs only $2.00 for adults and senior citizens can get in for $1.00!
