I decided to try the July art challenge here http://windowstothewords.blogspot.com/ . I'm posting a photo of a girl named Tweedles who was kind enough to submit her photo for us to paint. (She is a very computer literate pug. She even has her own blog.) I'm doing a watercolor of her pretty little face. Here is a preliminary watercolor sketch. When I've finished the painting, I'll submit it to James Parker and also post the finished piece here. Don't worry, Tweedles. I'll adjust the left side on the painting.

Ooh, Candy! I think your eyes look better than Tweedles' own...yet you've captured the essence of her in them...The expression is beautiful. Wow! What a great job. I'm trying not to click on that link. Try not to click on that link...I do enough challenges!
Hi Candy, thanks for dropping by my blog and for your lovely comment about Tom's video :-)
I love your art work - making a pug look cute is talent indeed ;-) - and your cats and dogs are gorgeous!
Thank you, Autumn Leaves. I'll be stopping by to see what you've been up to.
Mim, thank you. It was such a nice surprise to find your blog. You and Tom have a new fan.
Hi Candy, thanks for dropping by, and I am captivated by your pug painting, I bred pugs for years but now have only a very old fawn/apricot male and a not quite so old black bitch gorgeous dogs. My crow was sketched with a waterproof pen, uni ball I think, I get them from a stationary shop here and it is the only waterproof one I can find, comes in various nib sizes, this was a 03 then I used my Derwent
Graphitint pencil. In my small sketchbook, A6 size.
Cora and Buddy feel left out...

Oh... almost forgot...
Larry and I LOVE Las Vegas. Have been several times and even got married there in 1997! It's a great funny story... check it out when you have time:
