Jim took quite a few pictures, but in most of them, my dad isn't facing the camera. Here he is with my youngest sister and my aunt (his sister). It would have been a good picture, but his eyes are closed!

It's very difficult to get a picture with the subjects eyes closed!!!......Oh, for all of U waiting to see another painting, Candy has started War and Remembrance (or is it Pride and Prejudice), so it may be a while for the brush to be dipped again....
Boy, Candy! Your dad really is a handsome one, I tell you. He looks amazingly young too. My mom is 69 and honestly looks a good 15 years older than she is. I so love family photos; this one is perfect and I hope you will always cherish it, my friend! I think Jim is warning us that you may be caught up in a book for awhile! LOL
Jim's post disappeared... He swears he didn't delete it. Hmmm...
Sherry, I get such a kick out of your comments. I'm glad Jim is willing to take pictures when we all get together. He's my camera/computer expert.
Padmaja, I haven't painted figures very often. You're right, I should try painting this scene. What the heck. They're family. They have to love me no matter how the painting turns out:)

Cute picture Candy! You can make a lovely painting, there is so much of movement and also expressions here, especially our aunt's reaction:-)
